Dredging of the boat harbour is now been complete, in readiness to accommodate our first 92 marina berths, comprising 4 commercial berths and 88 private recreational berths ranging from 10 to 22 metres. EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST are now open, with allocations being made on a first-in, first-served basis.

When will the first berths be available?
With approval already granted to build berths over 7ha of “wet lease” area, the first release of 92 berths will be available late 2026. Register your interest now to reserve your marina berth.
What size vessels can be accommodated?
In addition to the 4 large commercial berths, 88 recreational private berths will be available for lease, catering to vessels ranging from 10 metres through to 22 metres, offering a diverse range of options for boating enthusiasts.
How will berthing rates compare with other marinas throughout the Fraser Coast?
Berthing rates will be comparable to surrounding marinas, and with the addition of many new exciting amenities, it will make Gateway Marina Burnett Heads one of the most viable marinas for the boating community. Gateway Marina Burnett Heads will be affordable, accessible and convenient while offering a superior location and a safe harbour.
Will there be fuel available?
Yes, there will be a 24-hour automated fuelling dock for the convenience of boat users, diesel and premium unleaded will be available.
What facilities will be available for those leasing berths prior to the establishment of the new marina village?
At the same time as the first marina berths are being constructed, the existing building will be upgraded to provide secure parking, a food, beverage and convenience offer, bathroom amenities including shower facilities, laundry and a manager’s office. A 24-hour fuel berth will also be built and operating. The newly upgraded Burnett Heads town centre is only a very short walk from Gateway Marina Burnett Heads offering the convenience of an IGA supermarket, pharmacy, post office, food and beverage including take-away fish and chips, bakery and cafes. The Lighthouse Motel, within the town centre, offers accommodation and is open for lunch and dinner every day.
